Welcome to a Former Age... An age that never wasn't...

Hello there, you have stumbled into another wargames blog. But not just any wargames blog. A blog of steam and steel. Of wax mustachios and gilded uniforms. Of history and science, and their horrifically unrealistic offspring... Steampunk! Also it's mostly about Dystopian Wars. One of my favorite games, and one that keeps me occupied with all things British.

The several fleets I do have, are of course mostly unpainted, but not untried. The Prussians collect dust unfortunately, the French have their uses, an Italian fleet may be in the offing (when I get the money to blow on one), but the mainstay of my Dystopian armada is the Royal Navy. The finest vessels ever to leave Her Majesty's Navy Yard reside in my fleet. Dreadnoughts, battleships, cruisers, Hawk Scout rotors, and soon to be, some sky fortresses and war rotors when the armories in Leeds finishes building them, provided the Admiralty will get more funding appropriations from Parliament.

Yes, the 12th Indian Ocean Fleet, Battlefleet Argyll, is a formidable fighting machine, having been tested in countless battles with the Japanese. Flagship of this armada, the HMS Invincible, a Dreadnought which earned it's name as the only vessel in my fleet NEVER to have been sunk. Sure, it's taken hits. It's even been reduced to a single hull point. But Invincible has never sank. It is indeed a heart of oak.

The Invincible.
